Contact details are never exposed to other users. Email and phone are validated at signup — then kept private. All communication flows through our platform.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist or create an account, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (used only for one-time verification), and any profile details you choose to add. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card details.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the platform, send you transactional messages (account verification, token activity, conversation alerts), and improve how SponsorMatch.ca works. We do not sell personal data, rent it to third parties, or use it for advertising profiling.

What other users see

Your email address and phone number are never visible to other users. All communication between parties happens inside SponsorMatch.ca's messaging system. Public profiles show only the information you choose to display.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to maintain your session and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use the platform (aggregate, anonymized analytics). If you accept optional cookies, anonymized behavioural data may be shared with analytics providers. You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

Your rights and data deletion

You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data at any time through your account settings. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (such as billing records). If you have a question about your data that account settings cannot resolve, use the contact form on this page.

PIPEDA

SponsorMatch.ca operates in Canada and collects and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Privacy questions can be directed through our contact form.

Terms of Service

Effective: July 1, 2026

Using the platform

By creating an account or using SponsorMatch.ca, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. Organizations must be legitimate Canadian businesses or registered non-profits. If these conditions don't apply to you, don't use the platform.

The token system

Tokens are purchased credits used to initiate contact with other users. One token costs $0.50 CAD; opening a new conversation costs 8 tokens ($4). Tokens have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts. If the recipient of a contact request does not respond within 7 days, the tokens are automatically refunded — no request needed. Purchased tokens are otherwise non-refundable. Token pricing may change with 30 days' notice.

What you may not do

You may not use SponsorMatch.ca to send unsolicited mass outreach, harass other users, create false profiles or fictitious events, share another user's contact details outside the platform, or attempt to circumvent the token system by taking communication off-platform before a connection is established. Violations result in account suspension.

Our role

SponsorMatch.ca facilitates introductions. We are not a party to any sponsorship agreement, event contract, or professional engagement that results from a connection made on the platform. We are not liable for the outcome of any deal, event, or relationship formed through SponsorMatch.ca.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Disputes are to be resolved in Ontario courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll notify registered users by email with at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
